| How to build your own computer |
This article will guide you through building your own computer in a few simple steps. After assembling your computer, you can configure system information according to your needs.
The steps are as follows.
1. Prepare the motherboard. Computers that are used for daily use usually use motherboards that support Intel Core i3, i5 or Intel Core i5
2. Install the CPU on the motherboard. See the motherboard manual for supported CPU types and how to install them. If you install the wrong CPU, your computer will not start and the motherboard may be damaged due to a short circuit.
3. Connect the CPU cooler to the motherboard.
4. Install the RAM/memory module in the card slot. Make sure the pins on the RAM module match the pins on the motherboard. Main board pins are separated from each other by 2-3 blank fields of different lengths. Keep in mind that RAM and PCI slots are different - PCI slots are usually wider.
5. Open the case and connect the M-ATX type power supply. After connecting to the case, connect the power supply to the drive and motherboard.
6. Place the back of the motherboard into the casing and adjust its position. For the correct motherboard position, see the user manual.
7. Adjust the position of the motherboard in the casing.
8 Connect the drive to the motherboard and power supply and snap the drive into the chassis. You can connect the drive to the motherboard and power supply using a special cable. If you are using a SATA disk, remove the drive.
9. Connect the SATA connectors to the drive and the USB connector/chassis switch to the motherboard. Consult the motherboard manual for the location of each connector. 10. Connect the 20/24 pin ATX connector to the 4 pin PSU control connector on the motherboard.
11. Connect the DVD-ROM drive to the IDE connector and to the power supply.
12. Select the operating system as needed and install the operating system according to the instructions.
Tips
1. Read the user manual on the processor box.
2. Save all instructions for use.
3. Use sufficient thermal compound when installing the CPU cooler. 4. Always use an antistatic wrist strap when setting up the computer.
5. Use the fans on the front and back of the computer.
6. Clean the cables inside the computer to maintain airflow.
Warning
1. Do not turn on the computer before assembly.
2. Do not force any components into the slots.
